Polypropylene rugs are durable and low maintenance. Nylon is easy to clean and is stain-resistant, making it a great rug for areas with an increased possibility of spills. If you are looking for convenience, these fibers are for you. You need to pick your rug fiber depending on where the rug will be placed in your home. Wool and Nylon are best for high traffic areas and best for underneath furniture.

Cleaning Routine –

Each rug is different in the cleaning that’s necessary to keep your rug beautiful. For area rugs, rug specialists recommend having a professional cleaning service done on your rug every one to two years for rooms with high traffic. For area rugs in areas of your home with less traffic, a professional cleaning is only necessary after three to five years. For spot cleaning rugs, you need water and any mild cleaning product to clean a spot. Some rugs such as silk require special cleaning and attention since it is such a delicate fiber.
